Okay so maybe it hasn’t crossed your mind..but maybe it has? How exactly did I get this website ranked so highly in Google?

Short Answer: Through the training and tools I got through Wealthy Affiliate University

Long Answer: Okay, lets’ break this down…

First things first: keyword research. For many marketers this is the hardest step because either they don’t know where to go for the keyword information or simply don’t know how to use the information they are given. For me (and all other Wealthy Affiliate members) this is one of the easiest steps because of the keyword tool offered at Wealthy Affiliate. My plan is simple: I use the keyword tool to find a keyword that fits these categories: More than 100 searches per day (>3000 per month), less than 100,000 competition (if you type the keyword in Google in quotes, the results should be less than 100,000; preferably in the 30,000 to 40,000 range), and a high commercial index (meaning are the people who search for this willing to buy something?)

Now this may seem like tricky stuff to figure out but it’s not at all! The keyword tool breaks down the stats for you so that you can easily categorize keywords and find the ones that you want. The only part that requires you to think a little bit is the commercial intention. This is something you determine yourself, however, it is fairly easy to do. For example, the keyword “affiliate marketing ebook” (what I have targeted with this website) has a higher commercial intention than say, “make money online”. This is because the people who search for affiliate marketing ebook already have a background knowledge of affiliate marketing and a ready to buy an ebook that will help them to succeed online. Those searching for “make money online” are very early in the buying cycle and will probably due some research and learning before making a purchase. When you think about it, it starts to make more sense.

The second step after I find a good keyword is I go to a domain website like godaddy.com or 1and1.com (1and1.com tends to be cheaper) and see if I can purchase the domain of the keyword in either .com, .org, or .net. Now often times the keyword I want is not available so I simply move on to a new keyword and see if that’s available. I’m not a fan of putting hyphens or any numbers at the end because typically that approach doesn’t work as well as simply purchasing the keyword as the domain.

Now if you want to set up an internet marketing campaign without spending any money, you can set up a squidoo lens or a blogger blog but keep in mind that these are less effective than purchasing the domain of your keyword and you won’t be able to setup the next step. Purchasing the domain is worth every bit of the six or seven bucks it cost per year.

After I have my domain purchased I log into my account and change the name servers so that I can host my domain with Wealthy Affiliate hosting (I know this part of it sounds confusing and technical, but don’t worry…there are great step-by-step tutorials at Wealthy Affiliate that will walk you through it)

From there I simply enter information such as my domain name and clickbank name and Kyle & Carson (the administrators of Wealthy Affiliate) give me a customized blog layout like the one you see now!

Now that I have my website up and running, I edit and personalize it to make it unique to me. After I’m all set I go back to Wealthy Affiliate to use the keyword tool again. This time, I will be searching for different kinds of keywords. I want longer, more specific keywords I will start broad and work my way down to more narrow keywords. There is an awesome feature in the keyword tool called “article power” and it determines how well suited the particular set of keywords is for writing articles. I will use this feature to build up a list of 20 or so good ‘article ready’ keywords and save it so I can access the keywords later.

Then I will use those keywords with the Rapid Writer tool and write some quality articles, spin them (this is an awesome feature in which Rapid Writer will reword your article so you can submit the same article reworded which gives you a lot more links to your website and in turn increases the value in Google’s eyes), and submit them to ezinearticles.com

Oh and just in case you stumble or hit any roadblocks on your way to setting up your website, there’s the awesome forum where you can post any question/problem you may have and it will be greeted with multiple responses and encouragement!

So hopefully now you can see just how much Wealthy Affiliate has to do with this process! And it’s extremely successful…this page proves it! Without Wealthy Affiliate, here’s what it would cost me to do the same process:

Keyword Research Software $59/month

Unlimited Web Hosting $14.99/month

Content Management Tool (Rapid Writer) $97/month

Grand total: $170.99/month

Wealthy Affiliate Membership Price: $97/month

And this isn’t even counting the monthly in-depth niche reports, link cloaking/tracking system, Site Rubix website builder and the brand new edition…WordPress Express!

I’m super excited about the addition of WordPress Express. This tool allows you to build fantastic looking WordPress websites in just seconds! (Literally seconds, it took Kyle 32 seconds to make this one!) Software like this has been known to cost people upwards of $197 PER MONTH just for the software alone! No personal coaching, interactive forum, tutorials, or anything of that sort.

So I hope that this has got the wheels turnin’ in your head. Wealthy Affiliate is the place to be! I’d absolutely love to see you there.

CLICK HERE to become a member of Wealthy Affiliate’s ever growing community!

To your success!

Ben Swogger

P.S. I know if you’re just starting out with internet marketing, a $97 per month investment may seem a bit steep (even though it’s worth so much more!) So here’s my plan for you…

Sign up by entering your name and e-mail in the opt in form to the right of this page to receive your free affiliate marketing course. Go through and read this course (maybe a couple of times so you pick up all the information) then use these free strategies to make a couple of quick sales. From here you should have a nice marketing knowledge base, and some confidence because you’ve got some sales under your belt. Then invest that earned money into a Wealthy Affiliate membership and watch your success skyrocket! Sound like a deal? Cool.

Also, could you do me a favor? I would love to hear about your success online not only to feel gratified that I’ve helped others but also to use the testimonials on this website. So once you’ve gotten some sales from the free course, invested in a Wealthy Affiliate membership, and settled into your online business, I’d love to hear your story! You can find my email on the contact page of this website. Thanks in advance!
